10. Louisiana Fusion 00 (Monroe, Louisiana)
Coming in at No.10 are the 12U girls of Louisiana Fusion 00. Lead by head coach Sammy Collins, and assistant coaches Rick Parnell, Brad Guyotte, and Josh Martin, Fusion certainly played some impressive Fall Ball this season. The team recently ended their fall season with a 1st place win. The girls were also impressive in taking home the 1st place hardware twice and the 2nd place hardware once, in their last three tournaments. The girls now look towards a very deserving winter break, and will look towards continuing their team success this spring and summer.
The 2013 Louisiana Fusion 00 squad includes, Rachel Collins, Grace Underwood, Carlye Rothschild, Kirsten Elrod, Hunter Guyotte, Amber Parnell, Kaylon Cory, Allee Lewis, Marcie Spillers, Kaylee Martin, and Amber Easterling.
9. Vienna Stars 2000 (Vienna, Virginia)
Another familiar organization on Youth1’s Rankings throughout the season is the girls of the Vienna Stars 2000. At 9-1 overall this fall, this World Series qualified team recently picked up a 2nd place win at the Potomac River Clash NIT (4-1), and a 1st place finish at the Breast Cancer Awareness NIT (5-0). Collectively, the team has produced 80 runs while allowing just 15 runs against throughout both tournaments. In their most recent 1st place finish, the team beat the Ashburn Shooting Stars 12U Gold (6-2), Shooting Stars 12U Sappington (8-1), and Loudoun Storm 12U (3-2) in pool play, followed by an 11-1 victory over Loudoun Storm 12U in bracket play, and an 11-4 win over Fielders Choice 2000 for the championship.
Managed by Jim Adkins, the 2013 Vienna Stars 2000 lineup includes, Nicole Adkins, Abbie Bolinger, Lauryn Clarke, Sarah Davisson, Alex Echazanreta, Kieara Edwards, Kristin Giery, Bailey Morris, Olivia Myers, Cameron Pistilli, Kiley Turner, and Kristy Williams.
8. D.S.A. Y2K (Spring Grove, Illinois)
With an 11-1 overall record this season, team manager Ben Robles is making all the right moves in getting his D.S.A. Y2K squad ready for regular season play. The team has successfully taken home the first place hardware in both of the tournaments they entered including, the USSSA WS Qualifier Fall Freeze Out (3-0), and the 5th Annual Dupage Ultimate Softball tournament (8-1). Collectively, the team produced 89 runs while allowing just 27 runs against. Also noted, is the fact that only one run was given up during the first tournament.
This Spring Grove, Illinois based team includes, Haley Barnes, Delaney Bowen, Tori Boysen, Isabel Fugatt, Montana Platts, Hayli Richards, Gabi Robles, Sophia Schwegel, Kayla Serio, Siera Sieberth, Jaina Westphal.
7. QC Firebirds USA (East Moline, Illinois)
Another familiar organization and no stranger to continuous success are the 12U QC Firebirds USA squad out of East Moline, Illinois. Currently at 14-0 overall this season, the team is already World Series qualified. The team’s success this season includes two 1st place finishes at both the NS Lightning Fall Frenzy (6-0), and the Quad City Fall Classic (5-0). In their most recent victory at the Quad City Fall Classic, the team collectively produced 38 runs, and picked up wins against Geneseo Green Xtreme 01 (7-0), Heartland Havoc 00 (7-5), Quad City Firebirds ’02 (6-2), Geneseo Green Xtreme 01 (10-1), and Heartland Havoc 00 (8-7) for the championship win.
Led by team manager Rich LaFountaine, the 2013 QC Firebirds USA Roster includes, Sarah Bisland, Alexis Defrieze, Hailey Frutiger, Kadey Garrett, Delaney Hannabarger, Brandi LaFountaine, Vanessa Oliva, Madison Perez, Ashley Peters, Kasandra Remley, Tess Taylor, and Payton Yanes.
6. Central Florida Gold 00 (Orlando, Florida)
We’re heading to the sunshine state, where the Central Florida Gold 12U squad is certainly making a name for themselves. At 15-5 overall, this Orlando based squad is looking for more success as the regular season draws closer. In the team’s most recent tournament, the Florida squad took home the 1st place hardware at Battle of the Bats by going 5-0 in tournament play. The team picked up wins against the Lake County Lady Canes (2-0), Diamonds Fastpitch 01 (7-4), Lake County Lady Canes (10-8), Diamonds Fastpitch 01 (4-1), and finally against Diamonds Fastpitch 00 (10-3) for the championship.
Central Florida Gold is led by team manager James Cutcher. The 2013 roster includes, Katherine Budnovich, Raechel Cutcher, Savanna Edwards, Katelyn Fee, Logan Keith, Victoria Phillips, Evana Vazquez, Jasmyn Williams, Kaitlyn Wilson, and Emily Zientek.
5. WDM Tigers Black (West Des Moines, Iowa)
At 16-3 overall, the girls of WDM Tigers Black are already World Series Qualified. Led by manager Kelli Schuette, the team’s fall resume includes two 1st place finishes. The team picked up championship hardware at both the Indianola Summer POW WOW (5-0), and the SE Iowa Fall Challenge (5-0). Between the two tournaments, the team collectively produced 75 runs while allowing just 15 runs against. In their most recent win at the SE Iowa Fall Challenge, the team picked up wins against, Clarke 12U (12-1), Central Iowa Explosion (5-0), Iowa Renegades 12U Green (7-0), Urbandale J-Hawks (7-4), and the Iowa Renegades 12U Green (3-0) for the championship.
This talented 2013 lineup includes, Alivia Agey, Maggie Baughman, Breanna Elgenheer, Shea Fuller, Alex Honnold, Maggie House, Sarah Lagomarcino, Macy Schuette, Claire Stalzer, and Morgan Theisen.
4. Originals – CK (Kansas City, Missouri)
Coming in at No.4 are the Originals – CK squad out of Kansas City, Missouri. This World Series qualified team led by team manager Terry Cunconan, is currently 17-6-1 on the fall season. Out of the four tournaments entered, this powerhouse team has earned three 1st place finishes. These wins include the Fall Fiasco (3-2-1), Fall Classic (6-0), and the Monster Bash (7-0). Between the three victories, the team has collectively produced 139 runs while solid defensive efforts has kept the number of runs against them down to just 36.
This 2013 roster that will be looking towards a successful regular season includes, Katie Bean, Brianna Carter, Maci Cunconan, Lindsey Gilbert, Kampbell Kilburn, Lexi Kump, Hannah Miller, Jordan Richards, Brittnay Sundermeier, and Jordan Weber.
3. Birmingham Mustangs 2000 (Birmingham Alabama)
Yet another powerhouse, are the girls of the Birmingham Mustangs 2000. At 24-3-1 overall this season, the Mustangs have picked up 1st place wins at the USFA Express Fall Classic, USFA Twisters Touchdown III, USFA Civil War Fall Classic, and the USFA Get Twisted tournament. The team has a winning percentage of .875, are 21-3 at home, and 3-0-1 on the road. Collectively, the team has produced 172 runs while allowing just 36 against. The Birmingham Mustangs 2000 12U history includes 32 championships.
The Birmingham Mustangs 2000 is led by head coach Johnny Franklin, and assistant coaches Terry Ingram and Shea Driggers. Players include, Molly, Abigail, Christavia, Jade, Riley, Allie, Taylor, Chaney, Kylee, and Peyton.
2. Hotshots Elite 00 (Phoenix, Arizona)
The Hotshots Elite 00, an organization that is no stranger to the Youth1 rankings and who has continued success, are well on their way to continuing that winning tradition this season. The team is currently 25-4-2, and went 6-0 for a 1st place victory at The Monster Mash last month. En route to 1st place success, the team produced an impressive 79 runs collectively, while allowing just seven runs against. During the top-notch performance, the team picked up wins against, AZ Killer Bees 2000 (14-1), Liberty 2000 (14-1), 2000 AZ Cats (6-3), AZ Power Sgambati (11-0), AZ Wildfire 12U (18-0), and the 2000 AZ Cats (16-2) for the championship.
Managed by Todd Mabrey, this 2013 powerhouse roster includes, Maddie Bejarano, Madigan Day, Mariah Jaquez, Jessica Mabrey, Dren Meginnis, Makenna Nelson, Kayla Scholz, Syndi Solis, Maggie Thurston, Alynah Torres, Lorena Vaquez-Inzunza, and Bianca Worthy.
1. NWA Knockouts 12U (Bentonville, Arkansas)
Coming in at No.1 this week are the NWA Knockouts 12U out of Bentonville, Arkansas. Managed by Michael Stafford, the team is currently 28-6 overall this season, and is already World Series Qualified. The team has three 1st place finishes on the season so far including victories at TGSF Slide into Worlds (7-0), Fall Frenzy (4-0), and TGSF Monster Mash (4-0). In the team’s most recent victory at Monster Mash, the girls picked up wins against Oklahoma Vendetta 01 (8-2), Oklahoma Bedlam 01 (5-1), Tulsa Eagles 01 (7-3), and Oklahoma Bedlam 01 (12-0) for the 1st place finish. Collectively between the three tournaments, the girls have produced an impressive 130 runs with 82 of those runs coming in the first tournament. The girls have also been solid in the field, only giving up 15 runs against them between the three tournaments.
This powerhouse of talent who continues to dominate includes, Kaila Catwright, Megan Crownover, Brittany Crowson, Alexa Enos, Keelah Griffith, Hallie Harper, Cloee Helm, Kylie Helm, Tymber Riley, and Karlie Stafford.
