A game that started slow ended up with a wild finish as a wild exchange in the 3rd period ended the game in a 4-4 tie. Chris Garbe scored for Suffolk in the 1st period to open the scoring and then Thomas Finck scored to give Suffolk a 2-0 lead. The Gulls battled back with a pair of goals by Connor Senken to tie the game at two. Thomas Condon gave the Gulls a 3-2 lead early in the 3rd and then about half way through the period, Alec Rovitz extended the Gulls' lead to two. That did not last long as just 31 seconds later, Finck scored a goal assisted by Garbe to cut the lead to one before Garbe scored from Finck to tie the game twenty seconds later. Vin Capezza played goal for Suffolk against his old team while Anthony Aureliano stopped 27 of 31 shots that he faced while in net for the Gulls.

The New Jersey Colonials are ranked #4 by MYHockeyRankings.com but their games are not getting any easier. The Little Flyers have always played the Colonials well and they played another great game on Saturday. Tyler Inamoto scored in the 1st period to give New Jersey the early lead, but Maurice Newnam scored with just under four minutes left in the period to tie the game at one.  Towards the end of the 2nd, Albert Washco scored off a feed from Joseph Cavaliere, giving the Little Flyers a 2-1 lead. The lead was short lived as Steven Agriogianis scored the tying goal just 30 seconds later, assisted by Nick Abruzzese and Avi Sytner. Just two minutes later, on a power play, Abruzzese scored off an assist by Inamoto to put the Colonials ahead. Shane Conlon played very well in net for the Little Flyers keeping the game close, but they could not get the tying goal as the Colonials skated to the 3-2 win. Anthony DelTufo got the win in net for New Jersey.
