Pee Wee Major- Syracuse Nationals Preview
Syracuse, NY (Youth1)- The Syracuse Nationals were ranked #6 by YHR and #11 by MYHockeyRankings.com last season and they approach this season at Pee Wee Major with one goal in mind. A trip to USA Hockey Nationals in Hackensack, NJ. The Nationals picked up two top forwards from the Albany River Rats as Brody Carter and Kevin O'Neil have moved to the Nationals. Syracuse did suffer a loss as Justin Cmunt moved to the Amherst Knights. Remaining up front for the Nationals will be Adam Tretowicz, Frank Gaffney, Jake Stowell, Buzz Shirley, Noah Williams, Mike Sciore and Brooks Vertoske. Syracuse had a very strong defense last season and that unit remains intact with Andrew Troy, Cameron Gebhardt, Jake Lewis, Matt Eccles and Justin Rockwell all return. Ethan Kaiser, who played with the Rochester Alliance last season has come to play with the Nationals and joins Liam Moore in an excellent goaltending tandem.
Syracuse will be tested early this year as the host an early season tournament that will be attended by the Amherst Knights, Mid Fairfield Blues, Pittsburgh Hornets, Florida Panther Alliance and New Jersey Rockets.
