Marlboro, MA (Youth 1)- The Long Island Roadrunners defeated the New Jersey Diablos to win the Squirt Minor Title at the Spring Fling Tournament in Marlboro, MA. The Roadrunners went 3-0 in the preliminary round while the Diablos went 2-1. In the playoffs the Roadrunners had a very tough game against the Connecticut Selects beating them 3-2 and the Diablos easily handled the Westchester Selects 7-3 to earn a spot in the Championship Game. The final game was a wild affair with a lot of scoring as the Roadrunners defeated the Diablos 7-5 to win the tournament.
